This document summarizes the conclusions arrived to at the Conference on New Approaches to the Economic Crisis in Latin America and the Caribbean that took place in Mexico City and Cuernavaca from August 20-22, 1984. Representatives of trade union organizations in Latin America and delegates from ICFTU came together to discuss the deterioration of living standards that had plagued Latin America in the past 2-3 years.
