Abstract
As the introduction of this final report states: “This final report incorporates three sections. The first addresses the dangers ahead in the ecologically sensitive, colonization areas of Santa Cruz. The second refers to project accomplishments and also failures. The first annex is a piece written
by an experienced agricultural engineer on the climatic changes taking place in the
countryside and their relationship to the spread of mechanized, one crop, large scale
agriculture for export The second annex is an idea which when implemented could create an effective model of alternative develoment for campesinos” (p.2).
