My thesis aims to explain the driving forces behind U.S. drone combat from 2008-2013. Drone strike numbers increased drastically under President Obama's tenure and my work aims to understand the reasons behind this initial increase, while also examining why we see a fluctuation in strike numbers across and within specific arenas.
