Abstract
This thesis looks to consolidate much of the current literature surrounding group decision-making and its effect on the individual. This paper then proposes an experiment that attempts to understand the effect of groups with one risk-preference type, on leaders of another type. By varying alignment of risk preferences between the group and leader, this proposed an experiment differs from the current literature, as it does not randomize group selection. We hope to understand whether it is the group’s decision, the leader’s decision, or both, that ultimately dictates group decision-making.
