The newsletter contains poems, puzzles, news reports, short stories, and advertisements from the prisoners. The issues appear to have been printed in Hawick. The title is a pun on the popular 18th-century mock epic poem "Jobsiade" by the German physician and writer, Carl Arnold Kortum. The German prisoners were released around February, 1919
