    Exchange and Agency in Northern Roman Britain: The Native Sites of Fairy Knowe and Leckie Brochs

    The brochs of Fairy Knowe and Leckie, native sites in Northern Britain occupied during the Roman period, provide a valuable archaeological case study of native responses to the Roman occupation. The archaeological record of the sites demonstrates a variable approach to the adoption of Roman goods that preserved certain forms of craftwork while adapting others to take advantage of the availability of new materials.
